We provided work of spinning threads to over eight hundred women in their homes in during the year, After having trained them and equipping them with necessary CHARKHAS ( The Hand Tool for spinning Khadi ) they are able to earn up to Rs. 200.0 ( 2$ ) per day. There by adding to their family earning.

Our Working Areas
Khadi Weaving
The heart of our organization beats with our khadi weavers. Khadi weaving was the original inspiration of our founder, Mrs. Krishna Mehta. The thread spinned by the rural woman is weaved in to khadi at our center.
Pashmina Spinning
Our employees are women who have built expertise in spinning Pashmina Shawls, which are exhibited and sold at our centers. At our centers in town of BASOLI Pashmina spinning and weaving is inherited art in every house hold, we provide the local woman raw material to spin pashmina which is then weaved in our center into beautiful pashmina shawl.
Honey Making
We encourage women in our bee keeping and honey production in their homes by training and providing necessary equipment to them and buy their product and sale them at our outlet.
Oil Production
We produce pure mustard oil using traditional techniques of cold compression. This program is designed to give a "boost" to the Home industry and, in turns, helps a host of households to earn additional income to multiple families in a village.
Soap Making
We teach local woman the art of making Herbal soaps using ancient Indian ayurvedic techniques.
Namda Felting
Namda 'felting' was brought to the Kashmir valley by Sufi Saints. This heritage is the main livelihood for the women of the valley. During winters the workers from valley migrate to our center in jammu and weave NAMDA, MATS etc.
Paper Production
Handmade paper production promotes local entrepreneurship, generates local employment & is environmentally sound
Pickle Making
While people migrate to cities in the hope of better employment, we encourage women from villages to make pickle for a living and provide them with all necessary skills and raw material to enhance their earning.
Krishna Mehta Fund for Skill Development
Krishna Mehta Memorial Skill Development Initiative, where the females are getting training in Fashion Designing, Tailoring & Cutting and Computer Programming. The funds for free training are provided by Colonel Vimal Mehta, son of Late Krishna Mehta.
Sewing Classes
As part of the Krishna Mehta Manifesto, we offer free tailoring and sewing classes to girls & women, to help them be self-sufficient. Women are taught stitching and sewing skills to help them earn a livelihood in their respective communities.
Computer Classes
As per the vision of our Founder, we offer free computer courses to young women of the village so that they can embark upon computer literacy. An initiative to empower women from marginalised communities to become digitally literate.
English Classes
As per the Charter of Krishna Mehta, Basic English classes in order to strengthen and empower young women of the village are held along with other skill development courses. English language training can make a big difference to employment seeking girls.
